A+ Kinder Cuties Collaborative and... A+ First Grade Friends Pin Boards

http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Regina-Davis

I've decided to open two pin boards
so that we can help each other be better teachers.
I LOVE Pinterest for teachers.
I think that it's because I'm such a visual person.....
if I see it, I've got it.
So for my Kindergarten Friends there's
A+ Kinder Cuties Collaborative:

For my new First Grade Pals there's
A+ First Grade Friends:

If you would like to be a part of either or
both pinning boards just let me know.
Send an email with your name and email that's
connected to Pinterest and I'll add you to
the board(s).  There's just a LOT of great
ideas out there that we can all benefit from,
that I'd love to have all of you help me to accumulate them!

So....
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
I'm glad these pinboards have enough room!

So, come join the pinning!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Alphabet Work
based on the book by
Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault

There are countless ways to use the
mat and alphabet cards….
here are just a few options:
Print and laminate mat and alphabet cards
and place onto a cookie sheet.
Have students move magnet letters up the tree.
You can call out alphabet magnets
that you have one at a time,
or call out the sounds that the letters make.
You could have students choose cards
and find those magnet letters to move up the tree.

You could have students play memory with
the capital and lowercase letters.

You could have the cards placed around the room
and have your students write
the capital or lowercase letter that they find.

Of course I had to add a black and white version!

I'm starting Tot School with my 3yr old in a few months - these are gorgeous and I'm excited to adapt them to her pre-reading literacy learning!
